Blade and Soul: My Speculation Review

Well, it's really awesome. No doubt about that. However, the over sized bodies of the males, overly big thighs of the women, anti-gravity breasts... well, I could say that it adds the overall attractiveness. heheh

But really, it's a bit exaggerated but that's how Hyung Tae Kim does his thing. Super angled panty revealing camera shots, big breasts/ i mean huge breasts, excellent clothes which adds to the attractiveness of the ladies. It's all good in my opinion.

Gameplay:

This is where all MMORPGs really battle. The gameplay value.
From the Video Preview:

-It looks like Blade and Soul incorporates good movement on the characters.*
-It looks like it isn't a click and run/attack kind of game.
-Seems like it's a versus game when it comes to the fluidity of the attacks*

I have a doubt about those points I mentioned because it seems like the combos are linear and you can't seem to interrupt it when it's doing its thing PLUS it takes a very long time to finish. Well, if it's a combo finisher, well I think it's not such a problem BUT...
I haven't seen a long ranged character yet, if there is then it is going to pose a big problem in 2v2 pvp or group pvp or mass pvp. As we see in the trailer, the combo takes a long time to finish and it counts as a STUN. yes, that's the problem. So what if a ranged character is attacking the character or even a meelee, then it's pretty much gameover for the comboed player? I don't think I like that...


Now, I do hope I'm wrong because I don't like it. Why do I think the gameplay will suck? Because on a related game where Blade and Soul reminds me a lot of which is Magna Carta (which Hyung Tae Kim is also the artist), gameplay really sucks. It takes a long time to finish just one fight. I don't want to experience that again.

well, recently something happened to me that I saw coming. yep, I knew it. and now I'm I feel like wanting to explode (hey I'm bitter from what happened)

i've always been passive to most things (issues, politics, blah blah blah) but its when something happens to ME thats when these things matter. but of course, we are all just the same and i am just acting the way any person (employee) would feel after what happened, bitter and pissed off. well, that's human nature. 

well anyway, i've got no personal hate or something so low that would bug me. i don't hate or dislike the people who imposed it. it's just that, i have a strong dislike over the "late" policy. no, its not jsut recently, i've felt this way ever since gradeschool. i hate the late rule. fuck it! fuck! fuck! ok, I'm done.

The Strokes

Being an ass, getting drunk and whatever floats your boat. This is what I think about my favorite band in the early year 2000. First heard of them in NU107, around year 2002-2003. From the lack of things to do and listening to new music, I came to like The Strokes.

First song I heard from them was Last Night, didn't even know them at that point. Then came Reptilia and 12:51 and I said... the tune sounds good and familiar, it's quite new and catchy to my ear. Then I decided to listen more in this "new music" program in NU107 called "Time Bomb" and found out that band was The Strokes. I listened to their every song and since then I've been hooked and liked all their songs.

The Strokes are composed of Julian Casablancas, Nick Valensi, Albert Hammond Jr., Nikolai Fraiture and Fabrizio Moretti. Albert also has his own compositions and it sounds great too. Listen to his song "Scared", its pretty good. Anyway, I like how Julian sings. Maybe its because I sound a bit alike ( I have a baritone singing voice) and its the closest kind of voice that I can sing without putting effort in it... uhhh ooookkkkaaaayyyy

Anyway, The Strokes became popular in the states for quite sometime now but they are more known in the EU. Although its not very popular here in the Philippines, in which I'm also very glad about that, quite many people know this band too. They are labeled as indie rock or post punk revival... but who cares, I don't like labeling anyway.

They are also said to be the "Saviors of Rock n' Roll", well who can blame them? They have a lot of good songs and most of todays sickening popular genre's (if you even call it a genre) today is Emo in which you can really say that music really needs saving!

note: I have nothing much against "Emo" music but these "scene" people really butchered it, A LOT!
